NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A darkened, black and white picture L’arc de Triomphe. The transparent shapes of guns can be seen spread out over the image in an orderly fashion. The haiku sits top and center in black “Courier Std Bold” font framed in a cloud of white. Below, a gas mask hangs on the front of the arc with two bulging, blue eyeballs superimposed over the eye holes. They confront the viewer in bright, full-colour contrast with the rest of the image. Created in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
