Monologue

Can I utter a word, at this point in time?
Can my pen speak what my mind cannot define?
Can you begin to decipher the unspoken?

I prefer to leave alone the pain I cannot understand,
and choose to avoid conversations I cannot stand.

You prefer to speak the unspeakable,
and seem to understand the unspoken.
Your voice defies my silence.

Maybe through your monologue,
I can heal my silence.
