Morning Adieu

On the park bench we sat
after midnight and the jazz concert
to catch our breath and question
the loud buzzing of our hearts
while her honey suckle glare
sparkles the quiet mausoleum
like the Rembrandt flush of hazel
brushed on a new born face
spirits awaken nostrils flaring
skin to touch olive green
fumes a patient chemical reaction
blowing inner smiles into rushing beats
thumping acrobats jumping hard
it is time to head back home
away from this compatible song
of fading intuition of quiet disposition
on the park bench we stand
after midnight and the jazz concert
to utter undesired goodbyes
and walk away from its breathless company
