No One is an Island, but I am

No one is an island, but I am

No one is an island, but I am
stand alone in a rolling sea
curious tourists sometimes stop by
their laughter
faded out in the waves
crashing on the shore
revives every night
the sound of silent mocking
echoes around
an overly sentimental heart

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

I found the first two sentences I jotted down in a notebook three years ago. I felt it’s not finished yet upon the moment I read them. So I decided to complete it.

Is every one an island in a common sea?
I don’t know the answer yet.
