Not That Easy

Not That Easy

written by: Lori Marchesin

To roll in the dewy grass
immersing yourself in the sea
covered in salt from head to toe
to feel part of the whole

to accept pain and share
the others’ because
a word and the touch of a hand
make the difference

when the light is off, remember happy moments
and let them enrich dreams
to stumble over obstacles we created
but raise our eyes to sparks of light

to lose our way back but persist
beyond the mistakes that obscure the horizon
because we do not have all the answers

but life is our gift
even though sometimes we forget it.
