Ocean Lover

Ocean Lover

written by: Gail Constable

I am the full moon
You are the ocean,
Lit full by sun rays
I push and pull you
Til you rage on
Rocky cliffs, yet
When I am invisible
You nibble gently
On sandy shores,
Light reflects off me
In darkness tipping
Your waves in silver,
We have done this
dance for millions
Of years, one day I
Will truly sink into
Your depths and
Drown in your arms
As it should be.
