ON A WHIM

ON A WHIM

This
foreign tongue
you bring
opens borders,
makes me click
Spanish heels,
strip-tease
around Big Ben,
skinny-dip
in the Thames.

Keep talking;
French kiss
your words,
pour me
English Breakfast.
I’m not
accustomed
to waking up
on a whim
such as this.
