Our undaunted wishes

Our Undaunted Wishes

written by: Odebode Tayo

We were hairless.
However, we saw the sky,
With our eyes twinkling.
The stars play seductively
Round the moon,
The mother earth was the tryst
A standing testament of their ecstasy
We once had the heart of a lion
To mimic the skies.
To spray our hands in the air
And feast on the beauty
That of which the universe possessed
Now, gray adorned our beard
And glorified our head
However, where are our undaunted wishes?
Are all lay buried in the belly of time?
