Shy
written by: Anagha Agnes
Now, let your eyes be shy
Scrutinising the guests at the corner
Let your eardrums shy
Hearing tickling gossip in vacuum
Let your pricking nose be shy
By your foul, exotic perfumes
Let your weighing down pride be shy
Counting life’s anonymous blank pages
Let your early circumstances be shy
Sensing your living empty holes
Let your stalking eagerness be shy
In the absence of reasons to hide
Let your toiling tummy shy
Trying to fill the vacant spaces of your body
Let your wicked smile shy
Rating your madness at scandal
Let your shrinking heart shy
Avoiding the aches of many
Let your critical fantasy shy
Counting your infinite selfishness
Let every inch of you be shy at last
Cleansing every spooky bite from the body
Now won’t your last breath be shy?
While acting among your funeral crowd
