Silent Whisper

Silent Whisper

written by: Dr. Gideon Sampson Cecil

I am like the silent oak tree standing at the corner
of the road waiting for the wind to whisper on my leaves
her new song of love in the shimmering shadows of the
placid night.
O tell me wind what are you whispering?
When I am dead and gone I shall come and lie
on the leaves of the silent oak tree
and watch the world passed away by your
silent whisper of death.
O tell me trees what are you crying for?
Now I am dead and gone I shall live on your
immortal leaves and watch the sea waves
come and go by the silent wind that blows.
Tell me O silent wind where are you coming from?
From a distant land of immortal roses to blow my
soul away into immortality where my eyes will
never close.
