Small Red Circle

the hallway
a faint smell
of perfume
remembering a woman
sitting across
from him
at a book store
both getting
away from the
summer heat
she
in shorts
white
one leg
crossed
over the other
smiling at him
her top
leg
lifts
revealing a
small red circle
just above
her knee
