Spirit of Emily

Spirit of Emily

written by: the hairy bum welder

This night this dreary night
Dusk as the
Ravens settle in the
Trees
Waiting for me to
Sleep

The wind hits my window
Draught flickering
My candle
Shadows on my page
My thoughts
And ink
Flow through my
Quill

I feel the spirits
That accompany the ravens
As Emily appears
At my table
Is she in my mind

She haunts me
Since the first kiss
I stole
Her beauty not dulled
By her
Spiritual form

Do the ravens’ trick
Bend
My mind
Heart
And
Soul
In my grief for
My lost love
Emily
