Spoiling you is a weakness
Of mine.
So for God’s sake
Let me be weak, let me buckle
In those moments.
Let me love you sometimes with the tangible,
the material.
And in those moments
Of fleeting satisfaction.
I will keep safe
Every single reaction,
And the joy on your face
For a lifetime.
I’m the lead singer of The Struts and have always enjoyed writing poetry. My solo work has been a discovery of deeper lyrical driven music that has led me to write poetry consistently for quite a few years. I’d be honored to have the chance to move into writing as well as my music.
