Sunset of My Youth
written by: casual_narratives
One last time gazing ⠀
at the evanescing beauty ⠀⠀⠀
A teardrop for innocence lost ⠀⠀ ⠀
Lamentations and Triumphs I dare not boast ⠀⠀
Spring, return! & will you give me the key?⠀⠀⠀
Ere that I bid farewell and say ⠀⠀ ⠀
You have been with me in my decaying inmost⠀
In my aloneness cheered me the most ⠀⠀⠀
When the days fill my soul with melancholy ⠀⠀
I am advancing, nearing life’s decline ⠀⠀ ⠀
Let me not be pining for the good old days ⠀⠀
Let me not be dragged by the daily grind⠀⠀ ⠀
You warmed my longings of yesterday⠀⠀ ⠀
Maybe we will be reunited again someday ⠀⠀⠀
Farewell Youth, My Sunshine!

I am an aspiring writer. Photography and writing are two of my passions. My casual storytelling is inspired by the streets, my travels, and nature. My stories are based on my own and others' experiences. One day, I hope to publish my own book, a collection of the stories I've written.
