The Breaking Point

The Breaking Point

written by: Letecia April

Cry,
Cry if you must
Collapse to the floor,
Curl up
Clutch your stomach
Scream
Scream
Rip the curtains off the windows
Break a glass
Then a plate
Drown in the deafening noise of silence. Crash.
And watch the blood trickle through the tracks on your fingers

Breathe
You are just a girl
And it’s raining
When the storm ends,
Pick yourself up and start again
But for now:
Cry
