The Fanged Angel

and the full, red October moon surrenders
to a growing dust cloud in the distance
as the fanged angel flies through and renders
a murder of instance, no resistance

she swoops down on dirt trails and never fails
to subjugate the meek for what she seeks
and victimize the frail, so tell the tales
of the one that day sleeps of whom we speak

elegant and charming, she’s dead damming
survival, killing for her revival
sinking two canines into fools dreaming
of kisses from their misses arrival

so take heed and don’t run in unmarked trails
or fangs will read your pulse, like hands do braille
