The Only Asylum
written by: Mohamed El Houssaini
Oh! god I got no asylum to save thee
Thy mercy takes my dismay
You love me I can’t deny
Thou shalt not disappoint me
My wretched soul is aching
But I know it is thine
Please God relive its ache
Let it flourish and gladden again
I water tulips with love
As thee asked me to do
I’m so weak in front of you
With no power save yours
Oh, God! Take my soul to the gaiety
Fill it with glee and relief
Sorrow thrashes it heinously
I have thee and thee only
