The Pilot

written by: Robyn MacKinnon

light in the darkness

despite the fears,
the jitters,

you are the PILOT

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A stark, black and white image. The haiku sits in the top right in white “Courier Regular” haloed in shadow. The background is a cloudy sky, textured like an old photograph, with a small crop duster plane approaching the center from the bottom left. The center of the image is occupied by a chaotic visual – a human heart as it would appear in an x-ray, semi-transparent and echoing over the center, creating the impression of jittering and shuddering.
Created in Adobe Photoshop.
