I remember you on days like these
And how you loved the rain.
So often you stayed quiet
But you smiled just the same.
I know that you had reasons
To keep your thoughts on hold
For this life you have been living
Would shortly be on hold.
So many times we’d share a smile
And a hug when times were dear
As I knew that there would come a day
I would face that final fear.
So I remember you on days like these
And how you loved the rain…
I know that you are smiling…
But no longer feel the pain.
