Thinking of You

Thinking of You

written by: Rose Skelter

Shadows stretch across the wall,
Shaping themselves into your silhouette
And I find myself no longer talking to the moon,
Instead I’m talking to you,
Whispering words into your ear;
The stars shining as the moon lowers
Down, down, down into the rippling water,
And I can’t help feeling the shadows in my room
Truly have turned into you
No longer are they writhing with fear
Becoming a soft and comforting rhythm of movement
As though you’re here with me, myself in your arms
