Too Young

Too Young

written by: G.R.F.

Aren’t we too young?
Scars on our arms,
Tears in our eyes,
Aren’t we too young to self-harm?

We are too young to worry-
Our school gets bombed.
Our friends get killed.
When will it be enough?
Till society gets its fill.

We are high schoolers,
Not evil.
We are too young to die.
Shooters, suicide,
The pills that weren’t put away.

Aren’t we too young to be silent?
They could not hear our whispers.
So now, we must scream.
Do not be silent.
We are still too young.
