Towers Unparalleled
written by: Lakshman Bulusu
Rising in parallel into the sky
A visage unparalleled to the passerby
Once defying the art of construction
Now collapsed in the face of destruction
Ascending the heights, no time to think
Onto the top of the world in a wink
There the cityscape caught the beholder’s eye
No time limit to say bye
A quintessence of New York skyline
How they stood without a dividing line
Their absence is no sign of division
America still responds in unison
New York City minus the Twin Towers
A vision anew from atop the bowers
Feelings of kindness and love manifold
In the heart of New Yorkers they do hold
Towers unparalleled as they were
A memory living in every mind to share
The Twin Towers were for no mere treason
To forget them there is no reason
