I Am a Trojan Horse
written by: Anne G
I have always existed.
Malicious ruse; a cruel stratagem.
Inspired by celestial energy, motivated by physical need.
Necrosis is my name.
Asleep yet deliberate; hiding in wait, biding my time,
I begin the attack.
Unaware, unprepared, You begin to fail.
Aging and ailing; skin and bones.
It is just a matter of time.
I have tricked You for years with insidious gain.
The outcome is sure, my victim inured.
Mort, death - the end.
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
