Two-Legged Species

written by: Anne G

Two-legged species
rarely appeased

A passel
a pack

a gaggle of these?

Preened are the feathers
sharpened the quills
murky the ink flows
hollow the words

Two-legged species
rarely appeased

A drove
a herd

a diversified flock

Sheared is the truth
shorn are the facts
regurgitation disorder
Will this never cease?

A conundrum in rhyme.

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
