Vignettes of Time

Vignettes of Time

written by: Sulochana Nepal

As I slip into the reveries of thought,
Reflecting the upheavals of life’s crisscross.
I watch how time flies in ephemeral moments,
While memories remain frozen, in vignettes of time.

Some blur over time, while some fade,
Some stay vivid, some return unbidden.
Despite every effort to push them back,
They linger as if waiting for a glimmer of faith unshaken.

How hard it is to forget,
How hard it is to cleanse the mind.
The loop goes on and on,
Urging us to gather new memories and move on.

Though the brain’s cup always remains half full,
Wise it is to pour new thoughts.
Clear the muddled space,
Allow renewal of the consciousness.
