Wake Up and Smell The Corpses

Wake up and Smell The Corpses

the dark moon hangs above us
in a starless sky
like an empty universe
or a watchful eye

wake up and smell the corpses
the Wild Hunt’s riding by
we’re coming back
we’re coming back
we’re coming back tonight!

we’re;
hollow like a demon
who’s forgotten how to curse
impotent like a vampire
who no longer thirsts
desolate like a werewolf
who’s lost his wilder side
devoid like The Ripper
without his sharpened knives

wake up and smell the corpses
it’s your turn now to die
we’re coming back
we’re coming back
we’re coming back tonight!

our powers stripped and stolen
we yearn for their return
we listen for the Samhain rites
the songs that bring us home
wait for the apocalypse
our imminent rebirth
we need a bloody sacrifice
to once more walk the earth

wake up and smell the corpses
the Wild Hunt’s riding by
wake up and smell the corpses
it’s your time now to die
we’re coming back
we’re coming back
we’re coming back tonight!
