WE’RE GOING ON A GHOST HUNT

WE’RE GOING ON A GHOST HUNT

written by: Dianne Moritz

It’s Halloween!

We’re going on a ghost hunt. We’re not afraid.
Come on, let’s go.

We see some leaves, some bunchy, crunchy leaves.
Got to go through them.
SCRUNCH, SCRUNCH, SCRUNCH!

We see a puddle, a cruddy, muddy puddle.
Got to go through it.
SQUISH, SQUISH, SQUISH!

We see a forest, a roomy, gloomy forest.
Got to go through it.
SCUFF, SCUFF, SCUFF!

We see a graveyard, a dreary, feary graveyard.
Got to go through it.
STOMP, STOMP, STOMP!

Ut, oh!
We see a ghost, an airy, scary ghost.
Got to get away.
RUN, RUN, RUN!

Back through the graveyard. STOMP, STOMP, STOMP!
Back through the forest, SCUFF, SCUFF, SCUFF!
Back through the puddle, SQUISH, SQUISH, SQUISH!
Back through the leaves, SCRUNCH, SCRUNCH, SCRUNCH!
Back through our door, SLAM, SLAM, SLAM!
We’re safe….WHEW!

Ut, oh!
We hear a noise, a rapping, tapping noise.
Someone’s at the door.
Got to go answer it.
TROMP, TROMP, TROMP!

Ut, oh!
We see a ghost, an itty, bitty ghost. Dressed in a sheet, shouting, “Trick-or treat!”

HA, HA, BOO!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
