When Two Writers Met In The Comment Section
(or, The Story of Us)

we met in a poem…
beautiful words
swirled around us
you smiled,
I blushed
you laughed,
I reached out,
caught a word,
handed it to you,
and now you blushed
“Soulmate” written on your palm
and then you pulled a pencil
from your pocket,
wrote on the air
and more words appeared,
each more beautiful than the other
“You”…
“Me”…
“Together
along the way”
I was moved to tears
and as each one dropped,
it was swept up in the whirlwind
briny ink
scribbling more rhapsodic lines
to make you smile
and make me blush

We live in a poem…
and with each day that passes
is more swirling
more reaching,
more giving,
more blushing,
more smiling,
more inspiring
pencils and tears,
collaborating together
cementing a moment in time,
in a moment in rhyme
living and loving
the best way we know how
one verse…
one stanza…
one measured day
at a time
