Where Thorns Bloom

Where Thorns Bloom

written by: Rupsha Mondal

Is it fair?
We love those,
We shouldn’t love.
We wait for those,
Who will never come back.
We trust those,
Who will cheat on us.
We strive for something,
That will never be ours.
We seek comfort,
In a garden where thorns bloom.
We seek warmth,
In the icy cold demeanour.
Is it fair,
To ask for something
We will never get?
A dream. A love. A friend. A life.
Is it fair,
To wait for the moon to rise,
Only to watch the sun set?
