Wisdom, a poem by Cocopops at Spillwords.com

Wisdom

Wisdom

written by: Cocopops

With wisdom comes peace
Pulling out deep from your treasure chest
All things lost now found
All things forgotten now learnt
Actions ancient brought to life

Old wives’ tales are true
They lived it’s proof
Why do youth bring such ignorance
Thinking we know it all
Only to fall flat on our faces
Having to pick up the pieces
Again and again and again

If only we were that fortune to actually listen
Fortunate enough to see the warning signs
Fortunate to see the outcome our elders foresaw
Fortunate enough to skip the hurdles
Grasping the wisdom, overcoming the maze
If only, If only If only!!!!!

I guess what you do not feel, you’ll never learn
Each generation more arrogant than the next
Each generation having to endure the trials
Endure gain and loss
Endure wasted years
A repeated never-ending cycle
Imagine, bypassing it all to the end
Happy, Healthy, Successful, Fulfilled and at Peace
Wisdom, if only!!!!!!
