Breathe Again

Breathe Again

All days in a year
I find comfort in my fears
Heart hammering to an unfamiliar familiarity

Phone waits to ring, to find its purpose
Voice from the other side, telling me everything will be fine
Shadows and I fight to company each other

Dilemma of love and refrain, I slip into future
First steps to healing, bedlam part of me
I stumble out of my head, to breathe again

Road to recovery an arduous journey
Letting go, impatient on mind, past a comfort
Future aggravated into an intolerant zealous idea of what’s left behind
