Bermuda Triangle

Bermuda Triangle

written by: Amira Waleed

You came to my house at 3 a.m,
You were shaking.
I looked into your eyes,
Their light was fading.
Took you to my balcony,
The Moon blamed me,
The Stars were jealous of you.
You started crying—
Saying you got betrayed by a Mermaid
And other things that I’ll never forget.
So I let you sleep in my bed,
Then went;
Built you a city of towers,
Told you the world could be ours,
But you had your eyes on the ocean,
Cutting the chains in slow motions,
I said you were chasing illusions,
Told you it wasn’t fair.
You shouted that you didn’t care!
Said you could drown for her,
Then you left the door open,
Letting the ship of ours sink deep in,
Sailed far away,
You didn’t even tell your mates.
And I’ve lost your voice in Bermuda Triangle,
Crying out in trembles:
That wasn’t love, I swear,
She wasn’t an angel.
Cause now I see her in all of my nightmares.
