Endless Scale

Endless Scale

written by: Vasile Trif

Jacob’s ladder
an endless scale
which you childishly climb
in leaps of thirds or fifths
half naked
in a risky dance
like a tightrope walker
in salto mortale
grave
seductive
harmonizing the eye
the vibration of the body with the ear of light
you meet on this steel wire
the beautiful sibyl of Delphi
who smiles meaningfully
and gracefully guides you through your questions
but you don’t have anymore time
for answers
in excellent balance on deck
of a barque of intervals
the admission fee:
your own
symphony
under the tongue
