NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: An apocalyptic, though cartoonish, landscape. Rust coloured sky, dull, brown plain split by a long chasm that stretches across the width of the image in the middle ground. Central in the foreground sits a figure playing a piano. They appear to be bald and wearing a grey t-shirt with blue pants and charcoal coloured shoes. Most of their face is hidden behind the piano, on which they appear focussed. Motes of flame dot the landscape, as do burnt and withered shapes that might once have been plants. The words of the haiku hover overhead on the backdrop of the rust-coloured sky in white Flood Std Regular font. To the right of this, the sky is lit up by a comet speeding in from the corner of the image, white-hot and fiery.
