Wish Nocturne

Wish Nocturne

@askkaren

Gaia breathing, slow and deep,
unaware humanity sleeps
oblivious to the pawing hart,
unheard a fox’s lonely scream,
while hedgehogs snuffle
and dream
away from the owl’s deadly flight.
Come cover me in black velvet,
my lover
my night.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

I’ve found the vivid world of dreams to be a welcome retreat not only from everyday life but from grief.
