All of It

All of It

written by: Steve Dooré

The guilt of having fun
the wastefulness of boredom
The stench of hypocrisy
The hope of democracy
The confusion of existence
The futility of resistance
The comfort of solitude
Hidden in the nude

The silence of the majority
Ignores the voice of the minority
Your fragility feeds my humility
In the face of the beauty of utility

The comfort in repetition belies
the cowardice of routine
The texture of mundanity
Cultivates my dreams

I want it all so I can give it all to you
But if you don’t want it I guess that’s ok too
