Woes pain
And misery
As I know not
Myself once again
My angst
For self discovery
A plight I fear
I shall never find fully
Until fair Italy
That of Sicily
I am to be reborn
In different time
Within my own patience
Where my breath
My words
Shall hang
In the salty air
Of storied sea
Darken my skin
Oh brilliant sun
Once again
Mediterranean
Greet me
In kiss
Where gods
Of all kinds
Once bathed creation
Within
Your pleasurable
Aqua blue…
