Anna Marie Kinkead loves all that is vibrant, authentic and that speaks to the reality of lived human experience. She has a special interest in culture, identity, race and belonging, especially pertaining to post colonialism and the legacy of oppression. Though born in the UK, Anna has lived on a kibbutz, and in the United States. The majority of her adult life, however, was spent in the beautiful British Virgin Isles. In a former incarnation, her work has appeared in the Journal of Midwifery and Women’s Health. Anna is currently exploring the way poetry distills what is raw and real, and as a tool for understanding discordance within ourselves.
