Jack Ontair was born in the American Midwest of a father who was an artist and a mother who was a CEO. He grew up as a free-range kid, and went on to study philosophy at university before owning and operating a small business employing 13 people. He retired in his late 30s, and after some travels, settled in Colorado. His most recent book is Ashes and Wine.
