My name is Sawyer Samuel Stewart. I am a full-time student at Cascadia College. I am a creative writer and poet based in Woodinville, Washington. I have worked in numerous fields that deal with complicated and stigmatized issues of mental illness, discrimination, grief and death. I have worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for nearly three years as well as served one year in an acute behavioral hospital located in Snohomish County. It is the mission of my poetry to address the stigma surrounding these subjects by giving them a safe space for others to relate, recover and heal.
