My name is Ugwu Kingsley Ikenna, a Nigerian of Igbo descent, and in my early twenties. I grew up in Enugu, a state in the Southeastern Nigeria and recently graduated from the department of Medical Rehabilitation, College of Medicine, University of Nigeria Nsukka. Though a medic, I have passion for arts, especially African literature and over the years, my environment has contributed greatly in shaping my perception towards the world of art filled with aesthetics. I started writing in my late teens. Most of my works are inspired by my environment and societal norms, in a society where ‘youths are leaders of tomorrow’ is a worn-out refrain, as justice continues to suffer here. So, I write not only to captivate, but also to educate and inform. Currently, I work as a volunteer physiotherapist in a Non-governmental organization (NGO) and also as a pre-intern.
