Beggar of Love

Beggar of Love

written by: Ishita Dutta

Now I get to know
It’s too hard to lie low
And too tiresome to stand aloof
Shall I quench the warmness of the soul
Or weep to drown the sorrows
What should I do
When I badly need you
Knowing well that
You don’t love me back.
Yet the sun will rise again
Time will move forward on its own
When returning is nonsensical
You’re the constant to me.
