Born to Be Alone

Born to Be Alone

written by: Kenneth Vincent Walker

This world is not my home
Though I’ve tried to coexist.
For I was born to be alone

I feel it deeply in my bones;
A story told yet with a twist.
This world is not my home.

I’ve felt ostracized by most;
Transparent as a dense mist.
For I was born to be alone

To kindly wander as a ghost
Passing by as a blown kiss.
This world is not my home.

Perhaps it’s alright for some;
As for me I shan’t be missed.
For I was born to be alone

As reclusive as a gnome
And am finally free of this.
This world is not my home
For I was born to be alone.
