a Christmas party

a hotdog on the sidewalk

What the heck is this?

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: Black on white cartoon. A house sits in the upper left, hills in the background, sidewalk in the foreground, snow-covered bushes completing the scene. There appears to be a party going on in the house, judging by the silhouettes in the windows. The moon and stars in the sky suggest nighttime. Someone wearing a santa hat, leans out the open door and stares down the sidewalk at a tiny figure just right of centre. It appears to be a hotdog, standing upright, cartoon arms outstretched joyously, face expressing pure joy as sparkles dance around its “head.” The words of the haiku sit topmost and right of centre in black Comic Sans MS Bold font.
