Fumes

If I was a painter
If I was brave
I’d hang up a canvas
And give it a name
I’d call it the future
And just leave it blank
Get high off the fumes
And die in the paint
Veronika Zora has been creating short form Japanese poetry since 2012. Her work includes haiku, stand-alone hokku, tanka, photo-haiga, taiga and haibun. Her haiku has won awards and certificates. Veronika is also published in several haiku anthologies.
