Halloween Mood Light

Halloween Mood Light

written by: Joyanne O’Donnell

Pumpkins glowing, candles singing,
Shadows weaving, black cats prancing,
Ghosts are looking pale and airy,
not a single ghost is scary.

Candles crackle, spark like faster,
lantern eyes gaze ever after,
Moon a silver pumpkin’s rind
Awakening night with teeth that shines whiter.

Two ghosts soft drift, kind and happy,
Waving sheets in twirling twinkly,
Through the streets they haunt and rhyme,
Marking the season’s time.

But oh! The third one’s showing,
Not a fright yet so warmly glowing,
She’s a jack-o-lantern living ghost,
Pumpkin spirits, honored host.
