Hubble Bubble

Hubble Bubble

written by: Andrea Walker

Hubble bubble boils are trouble
Especially from an ingrowing hair
I’ll grind some bones to make some broth
And pretend it isn’t there

Hubble bubble this boil spells trouble
On this here witch’s ass
How can I sit astride my broom each night
And now ride it with any class

Hubble bubble I’ll burst that boil for all it’s trouble
For Halloween is all but here
I’ll poke it with a claw of newt
I need this damn boil to clear

Hubble bubble I’m still in trouble
I need some magic help
It’s started in size to double
And now even walking makes me yelp

Hubble bubble it’s more than doubled
This witch is in distress
I think it’s become infected
I’ll have to try a cold compress

Hubble bubble my plans lie in rubble
No Halloween fun for this witch
A poultice of snake venom, frogs spit and liverwort
Has made my buttock start to itch

Hubble bubble I’ve toiled with my struggle
My magic hasn’t made this boil succumb
Maybe I’m too old for this game
This old witch with her boily bum

I’ll hang up my broom
And take off my pointy hat
For you see actually
I’ve had quite enough of that
I’ll remove my black cape
It’s so voluminous and swirly
And fashion-wise it’s out of date
But Wait!
I’ve had an idea..
Cos this witch is about to retire
I’ve put a sign outside
‘Broomstick for hire’….
