Furtive tears
Shed in vain
The one you cry for
Is totally unaware
Tears precious as diamonds
Shimmer in the dark
Yet their light
Does not catch the attention
Of his stony heart
Only the stars in the sky
Understand your sorrow
They blink and blink
As if trying to hold back
Their tears
After retirement from medical profession in 2016, I shifted gears and started to write poems. Through expressing emotions, depicting humanity, exploring life and nature with poems I have gained more insights into my inner and outer worlds.
