Impossible Dream

Impossible Dream

written by: Elaine Nadal

You’re the sun. I’m the moon.
I can’t help but smile when I’m in your light.
I crave your embrace, your hands around my waist.
It burns when you’re away.
When you’re near, I’m full.
When I fall into your eyes, I’m new.
Your warmth soothes my fears.
Your rays remind me of who I am
and what I can become.
I want to dance with you through every phase,
but you come out by day, and I by night.
