Invisible Presence
written by: Arouba Abbas
A flower never admired,
A moon never a muse.
A book never read,
An art never realized.
A sea never visited,
An ocean never dived.
An emotion never expressed,
A thought never comprehended.
A plant never watered,
A land so barren.
Below the gray of clouds,
Above the hay, never proud.
On the wreckage of dreams,
Where unheard echoes of faint screams,
Stood there
a boy—
neither heard,
nor seen.
